Sumptuous luxury; great attention to detail; lovely little touches; great chocolates; rose petals. Great club lounge, and lovely pool. I got a great deal through Booked.net; would otherwise not have been able to afford to stay at this wonderful hotel.

The views are great. The gardens attractive. The rooms comfortable and well equipped. It's very secure, and the pool is ok. The staff charming and helpful (though not knowing when their attentions might be intrusive and excessive)
The staff are intrusively attentive. Sitting working in the bar, I don't need to be asked every 5 minutes if everything is ok. The main Indian restaurant has become ridiculous in its pretensions, with a lengthy homily from the waiter on "our concept" before taking the order. The business centre is a dark, charmless, windowless warren. The two shops are overpriced tourist rip-offs. If you want to buy something like toothpaste , mouthwash, shampoo etc, you have to ask reception who deliver a brand and size not of your choosing. It's central enough for cab journeys, but not convenient to walk to shops, restaurants etc, except for the Khan market which is the most overpriced market in Delhi. If you ask them to book you a car to go somewhere, it has to be one of their hugely expensive BMWs. Tired and late on my final evening, I did not welcome a fax from the hotel telling me to call the duty manager to discuss my departure arrangements.
